IDC Inc. of Newport Rhode Island looked to Copley Wolff Design Group to enhance the landscape design of two of its Newport Experience properties: Ocean Cliff, a historic 1898 mansion on a cliff overlooking the water boasts twenty five guest rooms, and the Regatta Club, a classic New England shingle-style construction that also sits on the waterfront. The two properties are mixed-use facilities that accommodate both wedding and corporate functions. Attention will be given to tent and lawn areas, entry and arrival areas, pedestrian traffic, and optimizing the sitesê views and vistas. Improvements will address such issues as exterior lighting, parking, signage, irrigation, and the addition of decorative planters, urns and a gazebo. The team is also addressing phasing and scheduling to provide for the least negative impact on the propertiesê use.
