The Commons Playground is part of a public use indoor open space at the end of The Commons Mall shopping center in downtown Columbus, Indiana in a Cesar Pelli designed building. The playground is an important work of environmental sculpture. Over the life of the playground, some elements have been altered or closed due to wear and safety concerns.

Copley Wolff Design Group was called upon to implement a public process to determine community requirements for the playground. Based on compilation and evaluation of this input, CWDG will develop a set of programmatic requirements for the renovation of the playground.
