Copley Wolff Design Group recently completed renovations to the Children's Park on Boston Common across from the Frog Pond on the historic Boston Common. CWDG renovated the Frog Pond in 1996, a project that resulted in a highly successful four-season skating and wading pool amenity for the City of Boston. As a result, CWDG was asked to redesign the "Tadpole" Playground across from the Frog Pond.

Improvements to the play area include a new play structure to replace the outdated wood one, safety play surfacing, a water play spray fountain, a paving connection from the childrenęs park to the Frog Pond, and commissioned artwork, including mosaics by Lilli Ann and Marvin Rosenberg and bronze frog statues by David Phillips.

The improvements were on a fast track schedule and were completed in November of 2002. CWDG helped to guide the project through approval processes by the Landmarks Commission and the Boston Parks and Recreation Department in order to meet the intended schedule.
