Client: Boston Parks and Recreation Department

After Copley Wolff Design Group's successful renovation of the Frog Pond in the historic Boston Common, the firm was asked to redesign the children's playground across from the skating rink and wading pool.

Improvements to the play area included a new play structure to replace the outdated wood one, safety play surfacing, a water play spray fountain, a paving connection from the children’s park to Frog Pond, and commissioned artwork, including mosaics by Lilli Ann and Marvin Rosenberg and bronze frog statues by David Phillips.

In order to meet the fast track schedule, CWDG helped to guide the project through approval processes by the Landmarks Commission and the Boston Parks and Recreation Department.
